On March 9, 2026, Tropical Juice Bar proudly hosted a groundbreaking event to celebrate Hipolito’s official start of construction for his franchise location in South Orange, New Jersey.
This event marked more than just the beginning of construction—it reflected the journey it took to get here and offered a glimpse into the exciting future ahead.
“Being successful is not just about having good moments every single time. There are going to be downtimes,” said Carlos Lopez, CEO of Tropical Juice Bar. His words served as a powerful reminder of the resilience and determination needed to bring a vision like this to life.
Hipolito signed his Franchise Agreement in late May of 2025. Since then, the journey has been anything but simple. From searching for the perfect location to navigating the challenges that come with building from the ground up, every step has required patience, persistence, and belief in the brand.
The chosen location, once an old mechanic shop, is now being transformed into what will soon become South Orange’s very own Tropical Juice Bar. Through the hard work and dedication of our team, this space will evolve into a vibrant destination centered around fresh food, wellness, and community.
“You guys maybe entered into an old mechanic shop, but we just entered a Tropical Juice Bar,” said Lopez.

During the event, attendees witnessed the first steps of this transformation as construction officially began. Walls came down, marking the start of a new beginning—not just for the space, but for the community it will soon serve.
The South Orange location is currently scheduled to open toward the end of 2026, and we are excited to continue sharing updates along the way.
